Gundam Card Prices, Explained

Every price on this site is an approximate TCGplayer market price for one specific printing, refreshed with each data update. It is not a live quote, not a sold price, and never an appraisal. This guide explains how to read those figures and how to look up what your cards are actually worth.

The printing matters more than the card

Most Gundam cards exist as several printings sharing one card number: the base version, a + alt-art foil, sometimes a ++ version, SP reprints in later sets, and event promos. Their prices differ by an order of magnitude or more — a base Legend Rare might sit near a dollar while its LR+ alt-art trades for twenty and a championship promo for hundreds. That is why every figure on this site names its printing, and why each card page lists every printing with its own price.

How to look up a card's value

Find the card number printed top-right on the card (e.g. GD03-001) and the rarity letter next to it — a + after the rarity means you hold an alt-art.
Search the number on our prices page and open the card.
Match your version against the printings list — artwork and rarity label identify it.
Use the printing's market price as a starting point, then check sold listings for the real number. Condition, foiling, and grading all move it.

Why prices move

The game is young and growing — new sets shift the meta, anniversary waves bring new players, and chase supply is set by print runs. Competitive staples spike on tournament results and settle after reprints; alt-art collector cards track character popularity more than playability. Treat any single figure as a snapshot.
